Default What is the best way for a US player to deposit money?

Sorry, I imagine this has probably been answered before, but there are just so many forums here that I've had a problem finding information about it and don't really know where exactly to go.

Anyway, my credit card always seems to be rejected, which I imagine is because of that anti-US legislation. I had heard that epassporte worked for US players, but when I tried to sign up my CC was rejected from there as well. They didn't really give a reason, so I'm not sure what to think about that. I tried entering my checking account, but that was denied as well. It's a visa and a citizen's bank account in pennsylvania, if that matters.

Is there a way to deposit money as an american citizen other than getting someone to transfer money to you?

I have not made a deposit since the legislation passed, but I have friends that used credit cards on both Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt within the last month. I believe you have to call customer service the first time you deposit with the card, then you can use that same card freely after that.

Hope that helps.

Some credit card companies won't allow charges to Epassporte. I had this same problem with my Citibank cards. However, My Amazon.com visa accepts the charges to Epassporte. If you have other cc's, try another one and see if that helps.

The last time I deposited, I was told to send a live burro, 2 large pigs, 50 pounds of chicken feed, and 10 viagra pills to Senor Manuel Rosales in San Marcos. The money showed up in my poker account 6 days later. Hope that helps.

Sorry...I couldn't resist...

Seriously, I've heard that a money gram works well, if there is an outlet nearby where you live. I also understand that you can send in a money order. Luckily, I have been winning lately and have not had to cross that bridge yet.

I just received an e-mail from someone who said they went to the local Western Union outlet and sent money to someone in Central America. He said the money showed up in his PokerStars account in about an hour. Details are on the PokerStars site in the Cashier section. Good luck!

would using one of those gift2go cards create any issues with withdrawing? Can US banks do anything like refuse checks from gambling sites or can they only refuse payments to them?

Thanks so much for all the help you guys are great.

If you happen to bank with Wells Fargo I deposited to FT using my debit/visa card.

I don't worry about cashing out because I suck & play micro-stakes..... if I ever do reach the $150 minimum (to get a check mailed) I'd be shocked.

I used my credit union VISA debit card on FTP this weekend, and it worked fine. Only $50. Not sure how I'm going to withdraw, but not worried about it yet

I have Click2Pay, but for some reason that didn't work. I didn't look into it, just tried the VISA. I hope I can withdraw using C2P when the time comes. (I signed up with C2P before the legislation took effect.)
