wouldn't classify anything in Annapolis as fun unless you're 50+.

I get the feeling that many of the negative responses above are from people who are under 21. If you 21 and older you will enjoy the bars and beautiful girls in Annapolis.

what city doesn't have these things? AZK lives in baltimore - he can do this in baltimore.

No it's a completely different scene and atmosphere in nap town. Baltimore's Inner Harbor is nice but your still in a major city with polution, noise, etc. Nap town is more laid back. Sandals, dockshoes, etc.

If you think there is no difference between Baltimore and Anapolis you need to get out more and the two drinking scenes are VERY different.

you're definitely right with regard to getting out more, but I guess I've just never understood the appeal of Annapolis or its drinking scene to anyone under 40. I went to school there and it always confused me that there were a fair amount of young non-Midshipmen out at the bars on weekends.

Either way, the OP wanted things to do during the day.

There is alot of rich young non-midshipmen that live in the surrounding area. If your from Maryland you will understands Annapolis's clean, nice, harbor appeal.

From Wedding Crashers:
"Crab cakes and football! Thats what Maryland does!"

...still during the day you can eat, drink, and relax on the covered patio of one of the many resteraunts downtown. Good times.
