Default 5/10. A simple spot where I am lost (AKo UTG on Ace high flop)

Most of my play is HU and 3handed and I am trying to relearn how to play on a full table. This table just opened 2 rotations ago so no reads

6 handed. I am playing on a site that has a 'half pot' button. I will post my line but I would like comments on all streets.

5/10. Both hero and villain have $1,000

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG

Hero raises to 30, UTG+1 calls, all fold.

Flop ($75) AQ9r
Hero bets 37.50, villain minraises to $75, hero calls.

Turn ($225) T (no flush draw)
Hero bets $112.5 planning on folding to a raise, villain calls.

River ($450) 2
Hero bets $225 planning on folding to a shove.

I'm always checking this turn and folding to a big bet more times than not.

blocking bets suck, bet more on the flop, or check

I think the betting is fine IMO. You controlled the betting, and it is unlikely that he will shove the river considering he just called the turn and the river was a blank.

what is a 'big bet'?

what do you do if he 1/2 pots it?

Check the flop? Why?

Wouldn't betting more on the flop just make it so that:
a) I fold the best hand more often (I can't hang around even if I get minraised right?)
b) I let him fold his A7s or whatever rag ace he has on the turn?

sorry for the noobish questions

obv should drop a few levels. but I think my short handed game is very solid right now and when I am heads up with a fish and other sit down I do not want to leave the table.
