In a recent interview on pokerroad, Josh Arieh was talking about how he used to hustle pool, and how there's practically no money in it. He said even the top guys were struggling to break 100k a year, and that they'd play 6-7 hour matches for like 5k.

Great little piece.

Similar thing has happened in bowling.

I am not a bowler myself, but I have two professional bowlers as patients, one who is a 2 time PBA National Champion.

This guy told me a great story about bowling for 10K a game, but at the end he laughed and said, that was when I was 20 years old in the early 80s. Nobody will roll for real money anymore, now you gotta coach or design equipment to make a ok living.

Why anyone would trust Kevin Trudeau in anything is beyond me. He really did destroy pool in america, now they don't even show on tv there.

QFT. Trudeau is a fraud and a crook. How people like him get away with such shananigans for so long, given that information on them is only a Google search away, is beyond me.

They just need more TV exposure so they can be celebrities. Then the fish will gladly go to the "big game" of pool for the privilege of losing to the pros. After all, in golf you can't just go out and play with Tiger Woods, but in pool you can go to the pool hall and plunk down $10,000 and play against the icons of the game!

[/ QUOTE ]

Why don't we see fish playing big money chess matches against world class players then?

What is/was Trudeau's involvement with pool? I know he's been an infomercial huckster for as long as I can remember.

*Edit* Ah okay I read the article now. God somebody needs to put a hit out on Trudeau. How does he live with himself after a life that seems to *SOLELY* consist of [censored] others over?
