I have. You can buy it at Whole Foods. One of my old roommates who's really into massage and natural healing and stuff also tried to make some.

I know very little about the actual science or medicine behind it, but I always felt better after drinking it.

i have a similar experience with it as Nath.

similiar friend, similar good feeling, but......

no science behind it at all that i know of and after i bit i couldn't stomach it anymore at all.

so gl w/ it but i don't think it is the answer to anything unless you like the taste, but heaven knows it is better for you than the diet coke i am sipping on right now.

cheers. J.

I used to brew my own kombucha...I love the stuff. It has been around forever and its starting to become a trend at the hippie stores...there are a lot of different varieties.

If you are just getting started I recommend "GT's" Kombucha...there are many different kinds and some have juice in them, which i personally don't care for. I like the plain or the citrus.

It's definitely an acquired taste if you are not already a hippie; I loved it the first time I tried it, though. It makes you feel great, although it is quite potent - don't have too much your first time.

If you really like it and have the time (doesn't take that much time honestly) it's worth brewing your own...a 16oz bottle costs nearly $4 at a store, and you could brew a gallon of your own for less than that. Not to mention you are in control of how sweet or acidic the brew is, plus everything tastes better when you make it yourself, and its fresh.

i tried it once and it was one of the most vile things ive ever tasted. it smelled like fermenting apples (i only know of this because we had a lot of apple trees in our yard as a kid). im a super picky eater though.

that all being said, im glad i tried it because it was an interesting experience to say the least. ive known some people that really like it. im guessing its a love or hate thing.
