Unfortunately, I think you are correct that TN will take VY. I fear that he will be the next Mike Vick.

[/ QUOTE ]

Boy would that suck.

[/ QUOTE ]

Vick is over-rated. Vick is a runner not a passer.

When was the last time a running QB won the Superbowl?

[/ QUOTE ]

When was the last time a RB who was 6'4 280 pounds and could run a 4.0 40 won the Super Bowl?

Never you say?
Well, i guess if i could get someone like that, i wouldn't want him then.

[/ QUOTE ]

When's the last time a suck ass piece of [censored] QB won the Superbowl? Dilfer? I'm sure Vick could get Dilfered, with a lot of luck.

FWIW you have 3 players from Long Beach Poly High School going in the first round.

[/ QUOTE ]

Justice, Lewis & Ngata? Dosen't that school have the most current NFL players already?

[/ QUOTE ]

Justice, Bing, and Marcedes Lewis

I mainly wanted to say I appreciate your effort.

As a Falcons fan, I'd be happy with Ko Simpson. Ko + DeAngelo Hall = yaaaaaaaay Falcons!

I want to take this opportunity to argue that Joe Namath was as bad as Trent Dilfer.

Dilfer had only 2 seasons with more than 12 TD's

I'm just looking at stats.

Dilfer has a better passer efficiency rating, TD/INT ratio, and completion percentage. Namath has more yards per attempt, but still, I think it's ridiculous that Namath is hailed as a great QB when the stats so clearly say he wasn't even AVERAGE.

Compare his stats to other QB's of his era.

Things were a little bit different back then.

very little chance the lions draft a QB. they are probably eyeing whoever the 2nd best OT in the draft is, but i wish they would trade up for D brick.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, our O-line desperately needs help. However, I'm sure somehow we will end up with a wide receiver for the fourth year in a row...

Namath's stats certainly are week, but Super Bowl III is widely believed to be the most important game in NFL history (a lot of people think that it was a huge factor in the subsequent merger of the NFL and AFL). I'm not condoning Namath's enshrinement, but I think a lot of the Hall voters at the time (over)compensated for the overall importance of that one game when choosing him.
