Man, i truly think I'm going to have to pick up Buffy

I bet I'd absolutley love it... when it was airing it looked dumb and it was fun to make fun of (in high school)

But everyone who's really watched it puts it on these lists and raves about it

[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely, and (I know someone says this every time...) the first season has a few flaws (low budget, bad guest actors, etc), but keep watching 'cause the show builds on it in beautiful ways; Season 2 is pretty much the best thing of ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

And the Season 3 villain I miss so much I could cry.

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess you mean the mayor. He is such a cool villain.
I love seasons 2 and 3. I thought season was excellent (although not as good as 2 and 3). I took a 4 month break, but I start season 6 of Buffy in 2 weeks.

Other TV shows I love are:
Seinfeld
South Park
Firefly
Family Guy
24
in that order (although Seinfeld tops Buffy, I think Seinfeld is amazing).

If you like LOST u pretty much have to watch Buffy/Angel.
Many of the writers who wrote for those shows have done episodes for LOST. Damon L has talked about how much he loved Buffy/Angel. Buffy and Angel are also both heavily heavily serialized shows.

Mine..top 5 is hard.

1. Seinfeld
2. Angel/Buffy/Firefly
3. LOST
4. X-Files
5a. West Wing
5b. South Park

Dude maybe edit your post and remove who the Buffy season 3 villain is, that's a bit of a spoiler.

Seinfeld is of course unbelievable. I'm lucky enough to have dozens of episodes I've not seen yet, probably over 50. The other night I watched The Airport for the first time, which is now one of my top 5 episodes. George in the car, alone at first, and then with Kramer almost singing "I'd like to stop at the duty-free shop. I'd like to stop at the duty-free shop. I'd like to stop at the duty-free shop!" is one of the silliest and most hilarious things ever.

2. Six Feet Under
3. Deadwood
4. Lost
5. Rome

It's funny that you listed Deadwood, Rome and The Shield. All three of those shows I thought were just brilliant when I first saw them, but all lost me eventually. Rome and Deadwood had incredible first seasons, but I was strangely bored in the second seasons. The Shield petered down, but after watching it for a couple of years I found I was justing waiting around until the Forrest Whitaker scenes.

Sorry: I edited my list I was just goofing with the knuckle sandwich guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Let me just say that I'm not necessarily against any of these shows individually, but somebody who puts all of them together must be a real moron and not have ever seen a show before 2002.
