25NL: Yet another KK hand
Villain is 20/4/3.5 over 250 hands
I've been running 14/9 so far Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) saw flop|saw showdown MP3 ($25.85) CO ($5.90) Button ($36.65) Hero ($27.70) BB ($24.45) UTG ($29.85) UTG+1 ($8.85) MP1 ($24.35) MP2 ($6.35) Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP2 raises to $0.5, 3 folds, Hero raises to $2.1, BB calls $1.75, MP2 calls $1.50. I've got an SPR of 4 and an overpair! Commitment seems fine barring some weird activity or a freaky flop (or ace high flop) Flop: ($6.10) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $4, BB raises to $11.5, MP2 folds, Hero? I'm starting to let decisions like this get made by the AF (not sure this is a good idea). On what little info I've got, villain could be on a diamond draw, have a funky pair/draw hand like AdJd/KdJd, and sets. Is shoving standard here? Is this is fold if villain is passive or much tighter? Comments on preflop raise-sizing are also welcome. |

Re: 25NL: Yet another KK hand
Well, with his stats his range preflop is probably 99+ and AK. The fact that he didn't repop pre leads me think AA is less likely than the rest. Calling is going to accomplish nothing and you will still be committed to the pot. Villain is also somewhat aggro post flop. I think I shove but hate myself when he shows me his set of J's.

Re: 25NL: Yet another KK hand
Ugh. Flop raises at NL25 just always seem to mean business. I don't think you'd give up much at this level if you always folded 1 pair to flop aggression. BUT, when you have some kind of indication that they'll raise with flush draws, top pair, etc. then you gotta let it roll. This villain is relatively aggro so I probably push. But like CV said, we're going to see JJ alot.

Re: 25NL: Yet another KK hand
Against JJ+, AdKd, and AdQd we have like 43% equity. So, if you think this range is fair, shoving is good.

Re: 25NL: Yet another KK hand
why canīt villain just play his 55, 44 like this? that way whe have like 50% equity so a shove would be a good play i geuss.
