Default mid pair head up

how do you usually handle a hand like this both preflop and on the flop? mp is unknown.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $32.30
BB: $43.25
UTG: $65.15
MP: $23.40
CO: $8.50
BTN: $14.30

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, <font color="red">MP raises to $0.85</font>, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.75, BB folds

Flop: ($1.95) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)

Against an unknown I'm check/raising this flop, unless he overbets, then I have to think.

Yeah, I'll usually check-raise here too. It seems like there's value in leading out on this board too since a random A may chase the straight.
