Default A fun project

Our house in Santa Barbara is pretty nice. Oceanfront, right next to campus, a big deck with a nice view, and a little patio out in front of our door. We have a yellow lab puppy that is just a terror, and one day we got the idea to build a fence around our patio to let her run around a little bit outside even though we have a balcony). So we clear everything out (see pic 3 to see how our neighbors keep their patio area) and get to work constructing the gate. We quickly realize how crappy the chicken wire would stack up around the patio so we buy a lot of 2x4's and plan to attach the wire at the top and bottom. This works great and it also looks pretty good too. There is also a dirt area in front that is comprised of dead roots from plants, rocks, and broken bottles or bottle caps. We decide to buy some sod, fertalizer, soil, etc. and put some stuff down so it feels like a real house with a yard. This works out extremely well also. Anyways we finished up last night and here is what it looks like....

That post was kind of [censored] but I can't really think of what to say. I guess I'll just answer questions as they come along.

[insert Klepton joke here]

That dog needs more space to run around than that, or it's going to tear the house up. I hope you guys take it out a lot!

It was meant to show the comparison between our patio area and our neighbors.
