Just looked at the week 1 lines. Arizona -7.5?!? WTF
Good lord how did Arizona suddenly become good enough to lay 7.5 on anyone?
I am going to unload on the 9ers. Backing up the truck... beep.. beep..... beep.... natedogg PS: Ok some further analysis. 1. There is no way the 9ers are as bad as they were last year. They have definitely improved. 2. Perhaps Edge has improved the Cards' offense but by how much? Not huge if you ask me. And what about the Cards' O-line? A runner is only as good as his O-line in the nfl (except for barry sanders). 7.5! That is the kind of chalk playoff teams lay against cellar dwellers. You don't lay 7.5 with a 5-11 team against ANYONE, much less their division rival. This is an absurd line. Their only off-season pickup of note was Edge. That's it. And that's just not enough to turn a team into a powerhouse that can lay 7.5 on a division rival. natedogg |

You hear all over sports radio about the great off season the cardinals had. I agree with natedog, I think this line is way too high. Last year Arizona would have beena 2-3 point favorite in this game and I don't think that James and some unproven rookies really add 5 points to a line. |

Thanks for the heads up natedogg. |

I like San Francisco here as well, for essentially the same reasons.

Based on my current numbers (which I'll get into more when the actual season gets closer), Arizona should be about a 2.5pt favorite.
