Default Gmaps Pedometer

Don't Know if any of you have used it, but I have found it real helpful in designing new running routes.

It is a pretty cool tool, I have used it, too.

However I have found that measuring a route via the odometer in my car, is more accurate with regards to distance. I have measured a couple of USATF certified race courses with it and it comes up a little short when compared to the odometer.

Another issue is that it does not tell you how flat/hilly a course you plot is.

Still, it has its place.

Actually it has an elevation chart that you just have to click on to activate. IMO it's the best feature on the whole program. Also very useful if part or all of any of your runs are off road.

I'm glad others like it. It really helps keep you from getting board running the same route. The elevation and calorie count features are a nice bonus.
