Re: Live HSNL strategy Part 1: Sunglasses
[ QUOTE ]
uh, wouldn't "semitint" glasses not stop people from getting information from your eyes at all? unless the big read people are getting from you is pupil dilation instead of general eye activity. if you're *really* worried about this get the lowest tint mirrored glasses you can find, or get those super tool things they were selling at the wsop last year: sort of a visor/mirror combo, so you could look down without even looking through the lens at all, and someone looking straight at you can't see your eyes at all. [/ QUOTE ] as i said, you want lightly tinted, reflective/mirrored lenses (you should ask the salesperson or your friend to look at your eyes and see how much they can get off them). fwiw maui jims are nice, they make things look bigger than they are, and they are very very light. my personal choice is the yellow tinted ray ban's but that's just me. |

Re: Live HSNL strategy Part 1: Sunglasses
hello - i don't have any experience with these, but saw them metioned on latb a long time ago: www.pokerlenz.com.
here's a quote of their homepage: "Pokerlenz glasses are specially designed to hide your eyes while allowing maximum light transmission. These are NOT sunglasses, they are designed just for poker. The unique lens coating provides a clear view even in low light conditions, and the wrap style frame provides excellent peripheral vision and keeps your eyes hidden, even from a player sitting right next to you. If you want the advantage sunglasses provide without straining to see, these poker glasses are the solution. Unlike normal sunglasses whose purpose is to reduce the amount of light transmitted, Pokerlenz glasses let as much light in as possible. See the FAQ page here for more about why Pokerlenz glasses are the best choice for live poker." interested to hear if anyone has used them. |

Re: Live HSNL strategy Part 1: Sunglasses
I'm going to wear sunglasses during the WSOP for 2 reasons:
1) So other players don't know when I'M looking at THEM. 2) So I have something to fiddle with while I'm bored as [censored] playing 35 hands an hour instead of 600. |
