Default code format does not use fixed size font

I just posted with the "code" format and it does not
seem to use a fixed width font. I think the HTML code
generator needs to insert <tt> or equivalent. OK?

Actually, this has always annoyed me. What is the point of the code tags if they don't generated fixed width text? How am I supposed to share snippets of FORTRAN when the columns don't line up?

I shudder just thinking about it.

I think this isnt a priority while the team works on the new software, but i agree this is a problem. Its a pain when we post equity ranges like this.

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

166,320 games 0.063 secs 2,640,000 games/sec

Board: Tc 7c 2s
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 20.357% 18.65% 01.70% 31023 2835.00 { 99+ }
Hand 1: 79.643% 77.94% 01.70% 129627 2835.00 { AA } </pre><hr />

Exactly. And, of course, the FORTRAN.

It doesn't need to be a priority. It should be a 30 second fix.

Just one of many things that will not be fixed until the software update, if that ever happens.

Ideally, one would like text inside of tags to be displayed with a fixed-width font, so that the columns all line up from row to row. All it seems to do is not remove extra spaces like normal posts, and not word wrap the text. Heads should roll.

Mike - what we are saying is the CODE tag is designed to use a fixed size font like courier, but the 2+2 implementation does not use a fixed size font.
