Do musicals count? I went to see "Mamma Mia" a couple of weeks ago. I was kind of skeptical about it as I'm not really into the "Wizard of the Oz" or other sing-a-lot type movies when I was growing up.

This show by far exceeded my expectations. The cast was brilliant. The singing was lively, powerful and energetic. The script was really funny and although it was something like 2.5 hours long with a 15-minute intermission, it didn't seem like it. Time flew and the whole audience was standing in applause at the end. Good times. I felt like I got my money's worth there. **** of **** stars.

I believe the tickets can be had for ~$50 by Googling "Mamma Mia" and going to the top link. I went on a Sunday for what it's worth.
