just fold the flop

[/ QUOTE ]

Against that weak of a bet I think folding is a bad idea. I'm about 80/20 on floating/shoving.

Edited because the more I think about it the more I don't mind the shove.

Very nice play, just don't make it a habbit. Although I'm not sure if your flop AI is going to move your average 2/4 player. If he has Kings or better, the hand is going to play it self. But if he has Jacks or under, I think most 2/4 - 2/5 players call here. I still like the play, I'd definately fold on the flop without KK+.

first, think about the hands that people call a raise in the sb with and then call a BB reraise. then, look at the board. then, think about the fact that the sb is leading into the BB who reraised the preflop.

you need a lot more fold equity against his range than you think.

If you assume villain only calls preflop with JJ+, AK
and he only calls postflop with JJ+.
56% you'll be called postflop and you have 18% equity against JJ+.
called post and win... 56% x 18% x $498 = $56
called post and lose 56% x 82% x -330 = -$151
villain folds... 44% x 216 = $95
95 + 56 - 151 = ZERO

If villain only does this with QQ+ then the equity goes up a little bit. If he will do it with worse pairs, then equity goes down.

Someone please check my math.

I would think a fold is better, just from a variance standpoint, and depending on how many pocket pairs villain is likely to have called with preflop.

i think villains range should includes sets/ 56s, and we should also assume he will call with 1010 cuz he is a donk

Really? So are you shoving sometimes and folding the rest? Or is it just a shove and that's it?

Yes. He flatcalled after a raise and a call. Unless hero is really squeezehappy I wouldn't put him on a big hand preflop here.

I dont like the flop push, why dont just fold? I think a non retarded SB almost always have you beat here.

[/ QUOTE ]

His pf action combined with his 48 donkbet into a 170 pot kinda indicates he's no genius. Also, 77 doesn't "beat" me here.

nice turn

Nope he had 99

Imo ppl who donk into these pots very rarely call a push. His bet, to me, really looked like he was looking for an excuse to fold. Obv I was wrong hehe

I still like my push though, folding is so weak
