Default Cash games at Harrahs AC

Any Harrahs regulars who can give an overview of what games/limits are spread at Harrahs. I am going down for the WSOP Circuit event and wondering what I can expect in the cash game scene after I get rivered....errr...play poorly and bust out of the tournament.

well...Borg is my home base but I am actually staying at Harrahs this time AND bringing the wife so I want to stay close by the room for surprise sexy time and stuff. Also, I'm not in the mood to have to make my way back at 3 or 4 in the morning when I'm done playing.

Harrah's Marina usually runs 1/2, 2/5 NL, and 2/4 Limit. Sometimes they will get a 3/6 limit going. I've been told they run a 1/5 stud table, but I've never seen it running. 1/2 NL is always juicy in AC, but it is not as juicy At Harrah's as you would find at Borgata or Caesars.

Tournaments are pretty decent - comparable to Showboat.

From the website:
"Our poker limits vary with both no limit and limit games in various dollar amounts starting at $1 to $2 no limit and $2 to $4 limit Texas Hold 'Em. Seven Card Stud starts at $1 to $5."

They wont be having many cash games during the day because there is going to be an overflow of tournament tables from the ballroom into the main room. (thank Harrahs management for that one). They should have some cash games at night. Normally there is only 1/2NL but since the tournament is in town there will be 2/5 NL and mabye a 5/10NL game if youre lucky. I would normally recommend going to Borgata to play, but theres so many horrible tournament donkeys that have no clue how to play cash the 2/5 games should be juicy.

They get three 1-5 stud games every day at Harrah's. I can't imagine that someone could play there and not see it go unless you only go there after midnight.

Harrah's Marina? When was the last time you have been there?

I LOOOOOOVE playing at Harrah's during tourney week. It is by far my favorite time to play NL at Harrah's. The games are so juicy and great. They will definitely get $2/5 and $5/10 these days, but the biggest draw back is the dealers. Don't expect any type of professionalism from most of the dealers. There are three (serioulsy only three) good dealers on swing shift and unless they are your dealers expect to be "nice handed" and dealers will push the action as much as they can.

If you can handle that, it will be great.

While you are there, check out the pool. Things are a lot nicer at Harrah's than they used to be.

And $1/5 stud ... they run about three tables a day of this at Harrahs ever since the Trop got rid of it.

You talking about the dailys? Did they change the structure?

Last time I played a daily tourney there it started with T10K. No antes, but blinds were 100-200 from the start. Pretty bad. I'd rather play Taj crapshoots.

Showboat's tons better (unless Harrahs adopted their structure too).

As of last week it was the same terrible structure.

Cash games were pretty slow, and filled with mostly locals. I recognized a few faces from the Borgata who must have just got off their shift. Even with the regulars though the game is profitable.
