I think this is a fold, how big of a range do you really put the villan on when hes opening otb with an utg and EP limper to 4x the BB AND min raising a 3/4 pot bet on this flop. I think we can put the villan on JJ-Ax and muck here since i highly doubt he plays 22-99 or even KQ this way with the line he took.

I also think you're behind here but am doubtful that pfr raises quads. Most likely I'd say villain has 99+ and I doubt he makes a play here or raises pre w/ like qks. Maybe we're giving an unknown too much credit here. Standard line of b/f looks good. Don't want to CR him and be pot committed drawing dead.

I also think this is a muck just due to the fact that unless he checks turn were def. behind his range here and we cant exactely call a 400$ bet on turn profitably let alone a river bet, So i think this is def. a muck now.

Does anyone like a check/call on this flop? We are way ahead or way behind, and nobody's drawing. I c/c this flop to induce worse hands to bet.

the only reason i dont like check call is because what do you do on turn when he decides to fire two barrells? Then you have to take a really passive line on turn and river when u are stuck c/c with a possibly inferior hand w/o trying to get any information out of the opponent.

I disagree with your line of thinking. My goal is not to 'get information', its to maximize EV. often times getting information will help us maximize EV, but not always. If i raise half my stack on the first hand with 78o, and someone pushes, i've gained a lot of information about his hand but lost EV. So any time someone justifies a play with 'it gets information', i don't necessarily buy it.

On this particular hand, i would definitely c/c the flop, and the decision to c/c on the turn or river is read dependent and bet-size dependent. I think a lot of typical villians will donk bet small here with lesser hands and then give up or donk bet small again.

well danny normall i would agree with you, but in this situation i feel that we are deep stacked enough that this kind of board is not solely a +ev and -ev, i think that at early stages in a sng there are points where u actually have to play poker and not look at it in the +ev or -ev (obviously the information bets are used in order to maximize your ev)but but c/c you are just blindly spewing chips w/o knowing where u are which is HUGE -ev
