Building A Bankroll

I've been playing Hold Em for nearly 7 years. I've cashed over 1,000 a few times in casinos, online and in a few casino tourneys. However I have also lost quite a bit over the years. I feel pretty happy about my overall game, except for my bankroll management.

Any advice on building a bankroll the proper way. Any personal experiences would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
