Default 5/10 hu line check

no big pots between us yet. hes won a few smallish-medium sized pots by c/r'ing me on the flop or turn. hes also called my 3bets almost every time and twice he raised my flop cbets and i folded

"line check" really just refers to thoughts on the river

I usually just check/call the turn, but otherwise this is fine.

agree. v tough spot.

There are many, many decent opponents who'd never do this on the river without a full house.

If I was in this hand I'd probably call and make a note, but I think most good opponents at this level are going to show you a full house here with small possibility of a lower flush. Against a bad opponent I call all day, but unless he's crazy over aggro/spewy your description of him doesn't sound like he's bad. If he's a good player and good enough to have a fairly wide range of overbet shoving here, leave the table

How can turn be a fold but river an easy call? How can it be an easy call ever?

because on turn we have a pair of aces and river we have the nut flush? and villain could be shoving a bare 7 since hero almost never has a flush. Or what am I missing?

He could have a weaker flush, totally consistent with his bets or trips. Considering it's runner runner, you have to call river I think. Your nut flush is well concealed.
