Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
I would think a set of Aces leads out and doesn't c/r here, but that a set of Q's would. With that in mind I bet here and call any raise. There is 4 in a 3 bet pot, but it is not your typical 3 bet hand either.

Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
Betting a bit smaller is not a bad idea at all. It makes subsequent decisions easier if you get re-raised.
And you're right...checking top set to C/R is a daft play on a flush draw board. It is far from impossible that you would see a play like that though. But I stand corrected. You should probably bet out in most cases here and be ready to play a big pot. |

Potting flop is fine. Checking is ok. Ribbo will post that hero can check behind and hope to be paid off my lower flush draws.

[ QUOTE ]
Hero... pots it and pushes over the top of any raise [/ QUOTE ] Seriously, you have top and bottom pair and the NFD. What turn cards are you folding to exactly? Maybe a queen, but there are only two of those and I think our best move is to get it in here. |

Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
i really hate people messing around with mini bets pre flop, so i would definatly want to repot here to define my hand. flop play then becomes much easier as i can jam and maybe get a weak player off his QQxx

Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
Surprise surprise. I checked behind on the flop. Actually, at the moment, I didn't see I had two pair. I though I had an 8 for some reason.
I also did not want to bet because I was afraid of the c/r, and that I would not get the right price to call against a slowplayed set. Also, my NF will be very diguised if it hits, if that matters at all. |

Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
Well, at least now you know you should've bet the flop. I would bet $20here, not that I want to be in this position to begin with.
You have Aces up, NFD and blockers to broadway, no one else wants the pot, you probably have the best hand. |

Re: 200PS: AKK2ss - street by street
now im definatly betting - someone could easily still be in with trips or 2 pair, but they shouldnt really be calling this bet. if you do get a caller then you know they are almost certainly splashing around with badly played trips. im guessing you will get at least one caller after you bet, and then both fail to improve on the river
