Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)
Best hand commentary of the show:
Gus Hansen bets $16.8K in $47.2K pot on the river. Board is: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Gus has: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Norm says, "Gus hoping that looks like a value bet/bluff and maybe Duthie will check-raise him here." C'mon. Are you [censored] kidding me? Yeah I bet Gus would just love to get check-raised on that board with the 1 card idiot end of a straight after the flush hit and any A beats him. Jesus, is Norm really this ignorant about poker or do they tell him to be as results/holecard oriented as possible so people at home don't have to think too hard? Disgraceful. |

Bart Hanson getting his 15 seconds of airtime for the main event. [/ QUOTE ] I had to look for it three times before seeing it, and I never would have noticed if I didn't read about it. |

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)
On the pro side for Khan: He did seem genuinely excitable and full of nervous energy. He obviously did not mean any of his antics to be mean-spirited.
HOWEVER ... I cannot believe someone could either A, not realize how annoying and disrespectful his behavior would be to the table, or B, would know and just not care because this is the "Me" show. I don't care if you're excited, shocked, in disbelief, whatever, there is no excuse to do a choreographed victory celebration, especially when you deliver a sick beat for a gigantic pot like with the QQ vs. AA. Think about how that guy felt, about to be in the top 10 in chips getting to the latter stages of the main event, all-in with the nuts and the most annoying guy at the table pretty much flops you dead. To all friends of Khan, it is obvious he is not a bad guy. But how can anyone say his behavior was acceptable? |

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)
Have they shown only one episode yesterday?
btw, what is wrong with Shirley Williams? Gavin Smith was just laughing his ass off when she said "oh i am up against 2 overcards..." |

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)
Khan makes me giggle. He just seems to be an excitable boy. Nothing seems directed at anyone else so I don't have a problem with it (though he may annoy me for an extended period sitting at same table, but a lot of people do so thats part of life)

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)
I may have to rank Khan ahead of Molina as the biggest tool ever to be televised. I can't believe I'm saying this, but at least Molina was interesting to watch. Khan is painful to watch. There's nothing worse than a guy constantly trying to be funny, who isn't funny in the least bit.
