probably another standard hand but what do u think of this? villain is decent

I don't know, is the table tight? If it is then I think that raising preflop was probably a good move. However, what are you doing if someone comes over the top? With raising 4x the bb you are commiting 16% of your stack out of position with a hand that is very vulnerable when the flop comes. I would have most likley limped in. However, I would like to here arguements for both sides. I would have probably lead out with a smaller bet on flop but I think what you did is completly fine. You are priced in after his re-raise and pretty much have to call. He may have two overs however I think you are most likley up against a set or a higher pp. If your lucky your up against an under pair or straight draw.

If villain is decent I don't really see you having the best hand very often. Pretty strong line.

Yeah, I wasn't really paying attention to button's stack. I guess make a crying call, although it's even more reason to play the flop differently. Either CRAI, open push, or bet less so that you can get away from it. Also, I agree limping PF is best.

Well, the flop bet is a really bad size, bet 1/2 pot or push. Also, I'd raise 1000 or 1100 PF, people fold to that just as often as 1200.

I would only open limp here if the table is agro and I'm pretty sure someone behind me will raise and I can push (which is usually the case, but sometimes it's not.) 99 is way to strong to limp then fold to any aggression on the flop. I'm never folding this hand here, although you're likely in trouble. Button has to know you're committed and pushed anyway. The reason I like the smaller bets is because villain can then think you'll fold to a push and he can actually be bluffing, whereas here you just have to hope he's dumb and has an 8.

Villain is decent in a 4/180 isn't exactly a glowing endorsement...I don't think that's nearly enough to warrant a fold getting those odds.

I like the raise pf, this is the level where you have to open up and get really aggro. Personally I like to raise 2.5x as it gives me a little more fold incentive if there is a ton of action behind, in which case the 9's are likely no good, but 3x is fine. I'd likely either shove the flop or check raise all in, either way I'm not getting away from this here, his range is too wide to fold.
