The new White Stripes song "Iggy Thump" is simply amazing.

Can't wait for the album to drop.

Dr Dog is stunning.
King for a Day: Bobby Conn is pure pomp rock insanity and definitely my favorite of his.
Alaidair Roberts' new record takes trad scottish folk to california.
And I'm waiting with baited breath for the Uffie album, obv.

I've been a huge modest mouse fan for atleast 7 years, ever since i found out about their older stuff (lonesome crowded/moon). Also the fact that the lead singer Isaac Brock went to my high school (huge brag) got me into them. As for the new album, i think its a huge step up from Good news which i pretty much hate. I can respect how they decided to put in a fewer songs reminscent of their older music. I guess its inevitable for a newer sound now that they are more mainstream.

For all you old school modest mouse fans, check this out... pretty amazing to see them before they had any sucsess.

Panda Bear's new album is spectacular.

WTF is this? Do I need headphones and an 1/8 of mushrooms to think this album is anything other than a lo-fi demo from a sullen kid stuck in a k-hole while at school over winter break cuz his car broke down?

[/ QUOTE ]

I second this. It's excruciating for me to get through, especially sober.

I think it was released last year not this year. Either way I recently started getting into Bullet For My Valentine's recent album.

am i just that out of touch with new music or are most of these bands indie/non mainstream?

[/ QUOTE ]

Only because people here tend to have open minds and not just ingest everything clearchannel shoves down your throat. Radio sucks...

[/ QUOTE ]

or because no one is going to say that they are into some mainstream thing with tons of radio play...

[/ QUOTE ]I always try to give some of these bands a try and for some reason I usually don't like them. Something just sounds fishy when I hear people say stuff like "Band X's album will probably be my fav when it comes out in 6 months" WTF? Do you really even care whats on the new album? You all ready assume its going to be the best of the year???? Too much indie group think in here for me.

BTW, I keep it real. Bumping Dungeon Family, bitches!
