My 2 cents:
The JJ should have been an instacall, Kirk and Carlos are both great players, and Carlos clearly has waaaaay more experience playing with huge blinds.

There were childhood sweethearts IIRC...it was a bit surprising. But then again...you know Carlos has had some amazing 'opportunities' over the years...it would be extremely difficult not to give in to temptation at least once or twice. And even if he doesn't it can make for a very jealous wife. Not saying this was in any way what happened but...Carlos' fame had to put a strain on the relationship.

And somebody's gotta say it:
Carlos [censored] Mortensen

This has happened with quite a few poker players(male and female) since the poker boom started. When a man or woman is suddenly give many more options then they previously had, it's just human nature to think that they will stray.

I thought that was a pretty good call with AJ after Carlos bet 4 mil on the river.

I'm also surprised noone mentioned Sexton saying Morrison hit a 3 outer on the hand when it was :

Morrison A10
Carlos Q6

Flop A-Q-6
turn 3

It goes all in and Sexton kept saying Morrison had 3 outs. I mean I'm operating on like no sleep but wouldn't a 3 give him higher 2 pair?

after the river, sexton said about carlos- "the tournament's over if you can dodge one of three cards" meaning 3 different card values because before the river came sexton said "the crown goes on his head if he can dodge an A or a T or a 3 on the river"

anyone else feel really bad for Mike Wattel when he was bluffed and went out a few hands later. He looked physically beat, on the verge of tears. Just looked devastated. Thats the best part of poker I suppose.

I guess I wasn't paying attention. I was thinking anyone could make a mistake like that but that they would edit it out later if he did. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah, he wasn't purposefully slowrolling Carlos. I think the idea of Carlos having QQ just got stuck in his head and he couldn't shake it.

would Carlos insta-push w/ QQ and top set...NO!

if Carlos has QQ for top set, should Kirk still snap-call w/ JJ and second set...YES!

given the above situation, would that be the stone-cold cooler...YES!

but given what actually happened, was it a douchey slowroll...YES!

seems more like a brain-freeze than a slowroll. I think the definition of slowroll has become too broad.

Carlos had not value bet the whole show (maybe in some hands that weren't shown). I think his push with TPTK was to drive the other guy off or make him pay to draw.

And slowroll is overused hereabouts.
