This really isn't close. Not only does the board texture make a better hand relatively unlikely, the fact that you're considering checking behind points pretty strongly at the fact that a thinking opponent is likely to fear a check-behind too much to check a strong hand. (And an less-thinking one is unlikely to check a better hand three times anyway.)

yeah i wound up betting like 2/3 pot and getting shoved on. i think i would play it the same if confronted with the situation again.
