relatively early to stack off with aq here.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is hardly a valid reason.

Fold obv.
Good to know that blinds were posted.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just wanted to point out that stack sizes were before blinds were posted.

I let this one go and Ive been wondering about it all night and all day today so why not post it for feedback.

In a ring game I let this one go but we are not playing a ring game.

Why would you fold in a cash game, but shove in a sng?

In this sng, I folded this hand as I usually do in a ring game vs a tight player. Im trying to adjust to sng play with rising blinds as compared to ring game.

I often don't express my thoughts clearly. Sorry.

its close, i'd be much happier shoving here if he had opened to 400/450 instead of 600.

However the 4bb raise at this point is rarely AA/KK, and is more likely something like AJ/AQ/99/TT.

I would push here

[/ QUOTE ]

So would you put raiser on 99+ and AJ+ or even wider?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would put him on something like ATs+ AJo+ 99-QQ at worse case, with probably a few QQ/AK combos taken out for stove calcs since they are less likely in a 4bb raising range.

Basically when people raise 4bb they have a good but weak hand like TT-QQ, AQ, AJ and raise too much to overcompensate for it not being as good as AK/AA/KK etc. They would usually minraise/3bb with AA/KK/AK because they want action now.

Also when people raise to 4bb, they pretty much are never ever folding - its maybe the best tell ever when a random raises 4bb and you can just overbet shove with QQ+ knowing they are calling with a worse hand.

AQ is very big 4-handed. The fact that it's relatively early is more reason to push, since ICM considerations are less important. (CEV~=$EV)

His range: something like 66+, A9s+, AT+, KQ.

Shove

this is a fold in a cash game. here your M is beginning to get low, and you have a good hand against a late position raise, that often is a steal with a weak/average hand. Of course you're not folding! So push it.
