Re: nl 25, top two out of the blind
Well, repping the AQ or str* on the turn doesn't make sense cuz he is only gonna call if he has you beat.
I bet about 3/4 pot on the turn this way he will call with his weak aces and if he is drawing you are still not giving him odds since only limited stacks remain. Getting the rest on the river should be no problem with most of his holdings. I call a turn push while cursing his AQ. |

Re: nl 25, top two out of the blind
I'd play it the same. Villain has around a PSB left on the turn, so any other amount is kinda awkward. Anyone have any arguments for a check or a smaller bet?
EDIT: Didn't see first reply. I was thinking Ax calls regardless. |

Yeah, I misread stacks. This seems fine.
I don't like a check with all the draws. |

Re: nl 25, top two out of the blind
Only a better hand is calling your turn bet, just make it ~$10, that way you will be able to push river if called without overbetting. I would also raise PF.

Re: nl 25, top two out of the blind
I don't like a check on the turn either although a push is pretty bad imo. PSB makes more sense and gets calls from weaker hands usually. i dont think the Q on the turn helped him any considering most players dont limp utg with AQ
however i do see players limping with hands like 66 A-6s or even J-Td Edit: i hate the limp in the SB FWIW but as played i think i like flop c/r. thoughts? |

Re: nl 25, top two out of the blind
The board is drawy so you don't want to check. But you don't want to scare him away either. You still have two streets to get his money in the pot. Bet like 8 on the turn giving him 2.5:1 which is bad if he is drawing, coz he ain't got no implied odds with his last $4 and get the remaining money in on the river.
Don't just push. It may be irrelevant when you have villain covered. But it looks intimidating to most players so they start to think if they should call. Make a smaller bet and that button is clicked easily. It's just overkill. |
