Default Stupid Hand

Stars 1/2 4 handed

I've never played with the BB before, but have seen him around the stars 1/2 the last couple days, sitting alone on occasion, whatever that means.

I open raise KTo in SB, he 3 bets I call. Flop is AK4 rainbow. I c/r he 3 bets I call. Turn 4 I check call. River J I check he bets and I feel like I should never ever call here but I do anyway. Whaddaya think?

His flop plays makes me really suspicious that he doesn't have the ace. I can go either way on river depending on the player.

I also h8 the flop play. I'm usually just check calling down here. If you really feel like you're giving up value by doing this, then check/call flop and turn and bet out river seems better.

i dont get the flop. it creates a "man i don't think i can win but that pot sure is big" situation on the river.

What's the BB's name?

Also note that everyone who replied before me plays weak-tight passive. I don't mind the flop play sometimes, although he has to have the tendancy to either play back at you with nothing or call down light. Since you don't know which he is, flip a coin, get some reads, and better luck next time.

Without a read that the BB is pretty bad, you are never going to win 3BBs post flop with this hand.
