I'm not going to post his name b/c

a) It isn't clear it's the same guy.
b) If it is, the guy should be celebrated for what he did, not attacked. I would write him a "thank you" letter if I could.
c) What he might or might not have done in the US last year isn't my business and he was never convicted.

Also, this is another interesting piece of info. I don't think it has been posted yet.

Once again, credit goes to snagglepuss for figuring this out.

But there is some "metadata"-like info attached to the XLS file that seems to indicate who created the file. The name includes first, last and middle initial. And it's a unique name that I would not expect to pop up often.

But if you google the guy, he's an alleged rapist who went missing (from a state in the US) while free on bond in 2006. (Pretty much a year ago)

There's no guarantee that it's all connected, but I'd say there's a solid chance that it is. So we might have a rapist to thank for sending Marco the file.

And do you? I mean it can means a lot of things.
What I meant was:
(2) Posting derogatory messages about sensitive subjects on newsgroups and chat rooms to bait users into responding.

i think Josem probably was taking a shot at APs security. but also the fact that AP has less higher stakes traffic helped for this to come out.

it would be exponentially more difficult to catch someone on Stars, if it ever happened, since they can take money from so many more people before arousing suspsicion. they might never get caught.

I'm posting what I'm finding. Also, adanthar just did some more research into this name and found a system administrator in El Salvador by the same name. So it could be him as well.

But we know who made the file.
