POG Movie/Music Club Signups

I got mets to listen to a Wilco album in pogchat tonight and I thought that was pretty awesome, because like mets said, he's old and listens to 80s hair metal.

So anyway, is there enough interest to do this? No real min or max number, people could join / leave during it.

Basically we just have a list of people, and each week the next person on the list picks a movie to watch or an album to listen to. Everyone has to get ahold of the movie/album within a week and watch/listen to it, and then report back with what they thought.

Don't need to do big reports or discussions unless you were particularly into it.

Can be anything and everything, it's not a highly intellectual exercise. For movies, you could even pick a single disc of a TV show, or a standup comedian concert film, or whatever. Albums, you could pick a comedy album, or 80s hair metal rock.

Just a way to get suggestions of music/movies that you might not have gotten into without a reason for getting pushed into it a little, and if you enjoyed whatever was chosen that week, you can chat about it for a bit.

If there's a large chunk of people only up for one or the other, then they could be split in two I suppose.


tldr -- Let's make a POG Movie/Music Club. Semi-informal, and definitely not a highly intellectual affair, so anything is fair game. Sign up, and specify if you'd be interested in Movies, Music, or BOTH.
