easy math problem, all in w/ oesd
villain is 19/16. Notes: floated me in pos on king high board, bluffed turn, checked behind riv. 1/2 4 handed.
villain opens in co to 8. i make it 27 w/ ajo otb. flop is 8 9 10 r. I c-bet 35, and get check raised all in. 135 for me to call. was timing out trying to figure out whether i was getting the right price (was tough to do the math right, cuz Pstars includes the money above what covers me in pot size - any way around this, btw?). Anyway, id appreciate it if someone could help me with the math here. Looks like i have to call 135 to win about 230. so im getting slightly less than 2:1, which makes this a fold, right? If i was getting exactly 2:1, can i call, even though he may well have a set? |

poker stove to see where u stand against his hand range, then post that here and we can explain the math easy [/ QUOTE ] k, thanks. yeah, i really do need to start using p stove. as a ball park, intuitively, do you think it's a call here getting 2:1? obviously i will improve somewhere close to 40%, and the ace may or may not be good. this seems like a pretty standard spot- is there a good general rule of thumb i can follow here (i.e. call if getting better than 2:1 against typical tags)? ok, will now go try to use p-stove for the 1st time |
