I've played on a site that had a 1/2 pot button as well and I hated it. all the bets were either pot or 1/2 pot...to the cent.

I don't like it because it tends to help bad players use good strong bet sizing. I personally *love* it for preflop.

Preflop pot is very convenient, mostly for open raises.

And that's a good observation that it gives opponents better bet sizing. One thing that very frustrated players do against me is hammer 'bet pot' 'bet pot' which are usually not favorable to the majority of situations I'm in, which is me drawing or unsure whether I'm behind or not. The pot sized bet just makes that process all the more expensive.

I hate how on FTP when you change the size of a table, the pot button switches sides. But other than that, I would do it with the pot button.

I've hit Max at least once doing this.

Really helps multitabling. Yes, it helps the bad players, true. But it helps not getting tired during long sessions so much that I'd rather play with it not without.

It's horrible. I used to get massive bet size tells on people which is like the very best possible tell you can have. Now lots of people just pot pot pot, which is not readable and instantly makes them a much better player. Very annoying. Two major things that most people don't know or do : always betting the same size, and betting close to pot size - both are instantly done for them.

Next they'll add an "autoplay 22/18 preflop" mode.
