Default $11 NLHE - Bet out differently so I could get away from this hand?

Accidentally signed up for a NLHE SnG when trying to click on a PLO8 one... was doing OK until this hand came up, pretty early on. Usually in PLO8 if I connect with the flop well, I'll just use the 'bet pot' button, and be done with my bet sizing. I seem to have gotten trapped doing that.

Is there a more standard line that would let me release this hand, instead of being committed to my sinking ship? As it played out, am I correct into assuming I don't really have any choice but to call and hope for a flush? The price seemed to be right.

Fold pre-flop. I don't like calling raises with AQ in many cases, like here.

You're obviously not going anywhere on that flop. I'd need to see AA or QQ to fold.

How about 55 and 77, my two friendly pot buddies?

What would you call a raise here with? (retard o8 player alert) I thought AQ suited was a decent hand in the late position that could stand up to a single raise.

I wouldn't call that raise with any hand given the stack sizes, I'm either pushing or folding. In this case, i'd fold unless I had a read.. since it's early there are probably no reads i'd fold it.

Easy fold preflop. As played, shove flop.

You'd be DAFT to fold to a shove if the villain SHOWED you AA.

OP - you are ONLY behind a set on the flop and there are plenty of hands that will give you action here... Shove flop.

Preflop call is "Meh".
