I said "Wassup" and he said "hey" and then some donk started commenting about us giving each other the "pro eye". We then proceeded to make jokes which ended with me saying "But how can I collude if I'm a bot?"

Wow, no I didn't get that email. What did they say? Yeah here was the text of the info which I remember:

sethy: PJ
me: hey
donk: are you guys giving each other the pro eye?
me: yes, we're colluding
me: we're on AIM telling each other our cards
sethy: but how can I collude if I'm a bot?

And that was it pretty much. I thought it was funny and in no way could be taken seriously.

I think both of your comments were not a good idea. And I do think it is very possible for such comments to be taken at least semi-seriously by somebody at the table.

#1) I hadn't even bought chips yet. I sat down and was waiting to post my BB, so how could I have had cards to tell about?
#2) If we were colluding, why would I reveal it?
#3) If sethy was a bot, why is he chatting? And saying he's a bot?

Clearly we were making fun of the guy who decided to out of the blue accuse us of something called "the pro eye" whatever that is, and any reasonable human being would see it that way.

i imagine stars issue is that they take any bot/colluding accusations seriously, and therefore they had to give your accounts a thorough review for little reason

I think it probably is closer to the saying-hijack-in-airport thing as someone mentioned.

If somebody was bombarding the chat with, "I'm a bot. I have a special program and can all your hole-cards. I'm a bot I'm a bot I'm a bot Ha Ha Ha" I think it could have a deterimental impact on the game.
No matter how stupid and obvious the joke is there can always be a player or three who believes him.

The idea of sharing each others' cards via AIM and then bragging about it to others at the table isn't completely impossible either and almost certainly could scare someone.

I stopped playing at the same table with a guy I know because people were noticing we were from the same town and would become suspicious and/or leave the game.
