Default Help on a Psychology Assigment

For a psych class I need to find a clip in a popular movie that depicts something we are studying. Right now I'm looking for something that involves a woman in a relationship that isn't healthy, but she stays in it because of the things she has invested in it (kids, financial stability, etc.) Anything like this come to mind?

The term "popular" is somewhat ambiguous so i would be open to suggestions from most movies.

Throw your professor for a loop and do The Secret Lives of Dentists. It's the husband who stays, and it has Dennis Leary.

Never heard of this movie. Is there any one specific scene that jumps out or blatantly shows him staying despite the marriage sucking?

There's a good clip in Gridiron Gangs-prob spelled wrong. But might be hard to find that unless you have dc++ or somedownloading thing.

This is for college credit?

Damn, when I was in college we actually had "assignments" that required work.

He finds out his wife is cheating on him early on and it grates on him the entire movie. If you want one specific scene, it's near the end, but to talk about it would include spoilers.
