This guy plays back at people a lot, so I wasn't sure what to make of this situation. I figured he was just making a continuation bet of sorts to my semi-weak raise. It seemed like this situation was push or fold to me, and I really didn't want to play with a straight/flush board.

Am I a nit?

Looking at this again, he was most likely playing a big pair like KK-JJ and wanted to see if he was still good.

What do you guys think?

This is industrial size nittiness. I bet more on the flop and then get it in after his raise. Made straights and made flushes are a very small part of his range here. In fact your read says just that. This is a good opportunity to put the hurt on him and it may even slow him down in the future.

I push here or call and checkraise with no spade on the turn. It is far more likely he's got As or Ks than a made flush and he must be very courageous to raise on a straightdraw alone. I'd almost never fold a set, this is what you played for, right? Protect your hand here or take your chances the turn won't come a spade and hope he'll pay you off more there.

I call and if turn is blank I bet and fold for a raise... flop has str8 and flush draw and he probably is raising to put money in the pot... folding here is too weak imo...

I am folding at no point in this hand. Just push the flop

Raise to .50 pf, and bet more on the flop yo. Go broke; this is 10 nl after all.

Yeah, you guys are right. I had a couple really bad beats (three two-outers in this session) and false warning signs went off for me.

We're glad you came to your senses. If there is ever a time to push a set it is on a draw heavy board.
