Default NL 50 AQ vs 1/2 stack

This is one of my first hands at the table so no reads on villian.

My thoughts:
The turn is a [censored] card but his range is much wider than the flush in my opinion. I did a c/r here to let him commit h imself with weaker hands on the turn. But somehow I don't I don't like his line. Other option would be to c/f but isn't this to weak?

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players

CO: $31.55
BTN: $29.60
Hero (SB): $50.95
BB: $49.50
UTG: $53.65

No stats on the villain?

I think I b/f the turn around 12ish and then re-eval the river

villian would have like $10 left we can't fold to that on the turn

pot odds aside. If you bet like 10-12 here and he pushes are you ever ahead? (this is read dependent)

well were ahead like almost never if he pushes. If he was full stack b/f would be the ideal play here in my opinion.

But how do we play this hand without being commited, or without being to weak if c/f is to weak in this spot

well you have to decide if your commited here if you c/r u are obv commited.
b/f kinda sucks for the reasons you describe but this is one of the few spots that betting for info might be ok IMO.
if the villan is agro this might be a spot to c/c eval river as this is prob a WA/WB spot.

Is it possible villain limped with 55, 65, AJ, or a suited ace? This is a pretty ballsy play on your part IMO. If you really think his range is wider than a flush, then I like your line. Without reads I can't say much more than that.

CO has slightly over a psb left on turn. I think that means that if you don't want to be committed, c/f is your only option. If you decide that you aren't going to lay your hand down (which is reasonable given that you say that his range is much wider than the flush), then you just need to decide whether b/c or c/r (or maybe c/c) gets the most value. I would probably just bet because I don't want to see a 4th spade/straight card on the river if he checks behind and I think he can call with weaker aces.

This is on the turn obviously. I guess PNL (disclaimer: haven't actually read it) might say that if you don't like this spot you should have made a different planning decision earlier in the hand... Min-raise pre?

Your line is definitley the best in this situation.

He is obv calling w/ any ace, A pair and straight draw, A Flush, Any pair + Flush draw, Trips, 2 pair. The %s are much more weighted towards an Ace, or pair and straight draw, or made flush. Your ahead of that range. He's short.

People are almost always terrible playing short and make terrible play. This must be factored into the decision.

Calling is the worst here, Far worse then folding. Calling lets him hit his 4 straight or 4 flush for free. Shoving is best, folding probably close to neutral EV.
