Default AKo versus The Nemesis of the Day

Villain is 50/7 with some aggression postflop. I don't have enough hands against him to know whether he's very aggressive or average aggressive. I do know that he ignores odds on his draws and doesn't like to give up on his hands.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($49.16)
BB ($3.20)
UTG ($30.10)
Hero ($26.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, Hero raises to $1, SB (poster) calls $0.90, 1 fold.

Flop: ($2.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.2, SB calls $2.20.

Turn: ($6.65) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6.6, SB raises to $13.2, Hero ???

This is the exactly the same line villain took with a set of aces on a hand where he stacked me. I've not seen enough hands with him to know whether this is how he always plays sets or whether he'll play other hands like this.

If you choose not to fold here, what's your line for the rest of the hand?

I probably call and evaluate river. I think a big holding is a strong possibility for villain and so a fold is not unreasonable. But I probably call and see what he does on the river. If villain often check/calls with big hands you might think about checking the turn behind and calling a river bet or betting the river for value, to control the pot.

I don't know if this is the best move, but I prolly go broke here. If you call you will have put $16 of youu $25 stack on the pot. If that is the route you take you might as well get it all in now or vow to push any river. That being said, this does look a lot like the line of someone who hit a set or two pair so I wouldn't say that folding is a bad move.

It's very very unusual for this to be a hand worse than yours.

So can we check behind on the flop? Sure he folds a lot, but we are risking a lot to cut out his likely 6 outs arent we (since this villain only folds when he completely misses by the sound of things)

If we bet close to pot on every flop he checks to us and he only calls 1/3 of the time hes putting in 1$PF for the chance to win 3 off u.

Hero ???

Hero considers all three options and calls to re-evaluate on the river. Even as he does this, he realizes it is probably the worst of the three options but some strange force of gravity makes him push the button anyway.

River comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and villain bets $10, effectively forcing hero all-in should he choose to call. What's your play?

The turn brings a lot of draws.

I think that if you combine that with the fact that this guy is pretty loose/aggressive, you gotta go broke here. Flat-calling leaves you $9 behind staring at a $32 pot; this simply is not an option. Get your money in on the turn.

Im thinking he has KsXs, and is now reraising his pair, and going for a freeroll for the flush. Get your money in now before you get into a difficult decision on the river. I think this is a set 30% of the time, KsXs 50% of the time, and 20% a (semi)bluff for the flush draw. Really curious at showdown now

Fold Turn to the check/min-raise.

more often than not a min-raise on the turn is a hand that absolutely smokes TP. He stacked you once already with a set using this line - the idea is to learn from previous hands

He has another set here or KT more often than not I think. It looks like he is trying to milk you for as much value as he can while he thinks you have a club draw.

I'm using my position on this turn and checking behind. We only have TPTK and it's best here to keep the pot trimmed to a manageable size. If he has you beat (very very likely) he'll make some kind of value bet on the river - and depending on what the river brings you can flat call his river bet and see a cheap showdown. If he bets big on a blank river you can fold with confidence.

We have a small hand - so we ought to aim to take down a reasonably small pot. Save the big pots for when we have big hands. If we keep the pot small and he bets the pot on a 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] river we can make the call and see his cards - then we know more about the hands he plays and can use this info later. If he has a set and the river flushes he's just as scared of the flush as you are and is unlikely to bet big.

fold - very rare to find someone who min-c/r's on the turn w/ just one pair
