Sports hernia...anyone have one?
I am not 100% sure I have one but am pretty sure...I felt pain in my groin a couple months ago, it could have been from hockey soccer or tennis, I am not even sure exactly when it happened but I assumed it was just a groin pull and the sports doctor confirmed that he didn't think it was a hernia.
But now 2 months later, doing no sports (which is a beat, trying to rest to heal myself), the pain has improved 0%. It is just as bad now as 2 months ago. So will be back to the doctor this week but am pretty sure it is a sports hernia as I did some reading and I have pretty much all the symptoms. Sucks that I will need surgery but I heard recover time isn't too bad. |

Re: Sports hernia...anyone have one?
It could also be Osteitis pubis which has some of the similiar symptoms.
The problem is that there is no test to tell you what you have for this type of injury so it comes down to having a good doctor who knows about this stuff. The local family doctor is going to be clueless in most cases. |
