are we ever getting paid off if the flush hits on the turn?

Yeah, I have a hard time seeing KdK/QdQ check/folding the turn. Sometimes he made a worse flush. Sometimes he can't let go of overs despite not having a d. Sometimes, but not often, he'll 2nd barrel air repping a hit fd. Sometimes he has a set. I mean we won't often win a 400bb pot, but our implied odds are at least decent. And we will show up here with Jxs sometimes too so he can't put us squarely on a fd.

Even if we wouldn't ever get paid off if we hit the call is still +ev.

I guess. OP said villain was decent so i'm not sure he doesn't fold overs. That and the fact that it was three of us to the flop makes me wonder how much action we get on a turn that makes 3 to a flush....i guess KK,QQ (Each with a diamond), sets, AK (with the king being a diamond), and sets will pay us off.
