Neteller hacked what can I do?
Earlier today I got an email stating that my neteller account was being frozen because there had been attempts to hack into it. I reactivated my account, took a break from the computer, came back and now it appears these attempts have proved successful, and $383 US has been transferred from my account to "Bet and Win" by someone else. For some reason they did it in 2 separate transfers (euros) and left the remaining $117.
Just wondering, what should I do (other than emailing Neteller obviously), and is there any chance of getting the transfers reversed and my money back? |

jesus this is becoming a problem
Try to get in contact with the poker site. If the guy hasnt dumped all his money yet you might be able to get it back.. |

Re: Neteller hacked what can I do?
the email saying your account was frozen, did it ask for your account info to reactivate it?? or did you contact neteller seperately?

Re: Neteller hacked what can I do?
Yeah it did, it seems that it was a fraudulent email and I got sucked in :/
The email was sent from "fraudalert@neteller.com" and I'd just woken up so I was a little slow and just went along and "reactivated my account". Guess I have to hope the guy wins his bets on BetAndWin and they might ship me back my money |

Re: Neteller hacked what can I do?
They can spoof the return email address pretty easily so that it looks like it comes from somewhere official.
Have you called the betandwin support?? Goodluck. |

Re: Neteller hacked what can I do?
Yeah I have, hopefully they can do something about it.
I feel pretty stupid but relieved that it was actually my fault, and I can still trust the internet |

Re: Neteller hacked what can I do?
next step is to get in touch with neteller, get them to change your secure ID, change your password for neteller and the linked email account and never get phished again.

People: do not let phishing attempts work. If Neteller supposedly "emails" you about this just contact them independently. Never give your pw or other sensative info to anyone. Most legit sites make it a policy that they don't ask for this info, and most of them try to let thier customers know this. |
