Here is a hand where I did not subscribe to the my line of thinking presented above. (Of course it is not JJ) I only called because these guys were calling/raising with most anything and my AQ was suited.
For me, that's still not a good enough reason to call the raise preflop. As it turns out, I only had a 40% chance of winning the hand. That's only 7% pot equity. So I was investing a heavy amount of stack as an underdog, and based upon what they had, my implied odds were not all that great.
