100NL: 76c steals and gets there...but too much action on river?
Villain seems loose preflop, but not a total monkey(39/13/1.75). The question, imo, in the hand, is what range do we put villain on, on the river, and what's our best line (raise or call). If it's raise, do we push? And if so, do we expect a worse to call?

Re: 100NL: 76c steals and gets there...but too much action on river?
So you put him on a backdoor FD? Not a missed spade draw, 2 pr, set, or air as well? I mean, couldn't he be doing this REPPING the clubs, since it's backdoor and he can't figure WE have them?
Not to mention that the chances of him having a BDFD on the flop, seeing as we have the same BDFD, is remote no? |

I think we have the best hand most of the time, but like you asked in your OP, are worse hands calling? I would probably call here, but I'm not confident that calling > raising.

[/ QUOTE ] the only hand i see him paying off w/is a 2 pair hand or a set...but those hands don't make much sense to me. 87ss is the only one I can thing of, unless he decided to slow play top 2 or a set on the flop, which I think in unlikely |

i wrote air at the end.
yes, i doubt he has a set or 2pr very often. no, i cant think of a worse hand that will call a raise on the river |

call. check turn [/ QUOTE ] You go from air to a gutter w/ a bd fd and you want to check the turn? Learn me, please. And I definitely think that calling is correct, but curious as to others thoughts. Thanks fellas. |

i call villains range is mostly: Kxcc, Qxcc, JTcc, air [/ QUOTE ] Explain to me how all these back-door flush draws when we have 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s are more likely than, say, 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or Q8s or K8s. Please don't tell me he folds Q8s or K8s pre-flop either. Those are practically monsters to a 39/13 player. Hell, this guy could be calling 2 streets with 88 and hit "gin". |
