Re: Why was Danica Patrick the only female race at Indy?
"Why is that amazing? Why isn't half the field filled with women?"
The main reason (as mentioned earlier) is that there are fewer females racing on all levels. But with the novelties of St. James & Fisher and now with the talent of Patrick, there are more & more starting at the karting levels. I'm not a Fanica, but she does have talent. LSt.J was a one-offer novelty & Fisher was never ready and was with a below average team. Over on the OWRS side of the split, Katherine Legge is already there and Erin Crocker will be making some Nascar starts in the near future. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] There were two women in the race one year. Lyn St. James and Sarah Fisher. They crashed into each other. Does that answer your question? [/ QUOTE ] i had no idea this happened. but that rules. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Why was Danica Patrick the only female race at Indy?
My cousin's daughter has been racing very well. She is 14 years old and won several races last year. Link to her website HERE. This past weekend she won heat, trophy dash and feature races at Granite City Speedway. This is one of the larger/more popular tracks in the St Louis area. Link to this weeks results HERE.
