Default Lunar Legend Tsukihime GAME THREAD

The town of Misaki -- a quaint little town, somewhere between here and there (but sitting on the Busto-Robusto bullet train line), with no distinguishing characters (except for catastrophic disasters that seem to occur once every ten years). However, recently their populace has been paralyzed by a freak streak of homicides. People started dying at night, with the one common link between the victims was that all of the blood would be drained out of their bodies. It is almost as if this was the work of a modern day vampire...

The problem soon came to a head when over one hundred people were killed during a function at a five-star hotel downtown, with the building itself suffering extensive damage; the first and fourteenth floors being almost completely blown out. The offical government responce was that this was an act of terrorism. However, since no terrorist group has come forth (not even the Sons of Tokyo, who were initially suspected), this is not seen as a plausible explanation. Furthermore, after this attack the number of freak homicides following the same faux-vampire pattern started to rapidly accelerate...

With the authorities absolutely powerless to stop the homicides and protect the populace, the townspeople are about to take matters into their own hands.

However, things are not completely hopeless. The elder son of the Tohno family has been blessed with a gift and cursed with the ability to destroy nearly anything, which after a freak sequence of events (including what resulted in the attack on the hotel, and the death of the person who perpetuated the attack) has been working to wipe out this menace. Another vampire, one by the name of Arcueid, has been hunting the man responsible for hundreds of years and secretly enjoys protecting humans (v.v.odd for a vampire). There have also been sightings of Church officials in town, reportedly working to clean up the mess. Furthermore, this is becoming quite the bother for the Tohno clan and their business, and they would like to resolve this as quickly as possible -- both to protect the town's interests and their own secrets.

There are other complications. Akiha's personal maid has been secretly assisting Roa, and is trying to use him as a device to wipe out the Tohno family as a means of revenge. She also has the robot she created, Mech-Hisui to further carry out this task. On top of that, all of the vampirism activity has drawn other dead apostles looking to stay on top of the eternal struggle for territory, and have been showing up looking to leave their mark.

Town-aligned role information:

Shiki Tohno (human)

Just your standard high-school student... who has the ability to destroy nearly anything. Surprisingly, he acts nothing like someone with such great power (from both his supernatural powers and family heritage).

In-game abilities:

Once every night, he can either peek a target (learning its type, NOT their role outright) or kill them outright.
His kill blows through any angel-like protection the target may have, even Arcueid's invincibility (but not Ciel's).

Akiha Tohno (human/demon hybrid)

Heir to the Tohno family, Shiki's younger sister. Constantly busy between schoolwork, family affairs, and trying to control the demonic powers eating away at her body.

In-game abilities:

Her vote counts as two votes during the day (being the head of the most powerful family in town and all).

Can not be lynched during the day due to a coin flip situation (exception: if she is tied with Roa and Roa only, then there will be a coin flip).

Once throughout the course of the game, she can redirect the target during the day to anyone she chooses, including nobody.

Knows who Shiki Tohno is.

Arcueid Brunestud (human?)

A 'True Ancestor' (one who originally born a vampire)... but she hates blood, walks around during midday wearing all white, and befriends humans. Weird. She's also spent the last several hundred years hunting other vampires, most notably Roa.

Normally a being with an absurd amount of power (and could handle most of this situation herself), but between surpressing her own bloodlust and nearly getting obliterated by Shiki, she can't do much on her own. Then again, almost no one can do anything to her still...

In-game abilities:

Can not be killed by natural means. If targeted at night, the kill fails. If targeted during the day, she distorts reality to change the target to one of her own choosing. She can elect to change it to nobody in this instance.

She can be killed by either Shiki Tohno or Roa if they target her at night.

Ciel (human)

Seen by most as a high school senior, but is in actuality an agent of the Church's Burial Agency (their wetworks operation, used to deal with high-risk undesirables). Her main objective is to eliminate Roa (whose existence is what has kept her alive for the last several hundred years), but has the freedom to eliminate anyone seen as a threat to this objective.

Has an unhealthy obsession for curry, and designs her own outfits to fight in during her spare time. French.

In game abilities:

May attempt to kill one person during every night phase. She does not have to exercise this ability.

Can not die via normal means. If she is targeted at night, the kill fails. If lynched during the day, the lynch fails. However, she loses her powers for one full day/night cycle when someone tries to kill her.

Dies once Roa dies.

Eats curry (does nothing).

Hisui (human, synchronizer)

Shiki's personal maid and Kohaku's identical twin. Absolutely loyal to Shiki since a tragic accident occurred to him several years ago, which also scarred her emotionally.

Just don't let her cook for you.

In game abilities:

If she is alive at the beginning of any night phase and Shiki is targeted for death, she dies in his place. These deaths stack, so if both she and Shiki die the same night, only she dies, even if multiple people target Shiki.

Town residents (human)

No special abilities, except for the fact that they can still vote, and the fact that there are nine of them in this game.

Evil team role information:

Roa (human?)

The unnumbered Dead Apostle. An absolute nutbag, he keeps reincarnating trying to achieve absolute immortality and to overtake (and ultimately destroy) Arcueid.

In-game abilities:

Takes an extra night kill every other night, starting on night two. (this is on top of the normal night kill the villians get).

Can not be lynched during the day due to a coin flip situation (exception: if he is tied with Akiha and Akiha only, then there will be a coin flip).

Must be killed twice in order to die unless targeted by Shiki the first time around. If the first death is from a day lynch, no one dies that day.

Kohaku (human, synchronizer)

Akiha's personal maid and twin sister of Hisui. However, behind her disgustingly cheery attitude lies a festering desire for revenge, brought on mainly by fifteen years of perpetual abuse from the family she worked for. She also serves as the family's cook and doctor.

Plays videogames in her spare time, with her favorite games being the various Grand Theft Auto and Deception games, along with Paperboy (what?).

In-game abilities:

Has an assortment of strange devices and drugs to use on unwitting targets. All of them can only be used once through the game (unless stated otherwise), and she can use only one item per night.

- [Silence] -- Some medicine that causes the victim's to swell up to the point where they can't speak. (Can be used twice) Silence can also be used on the town official keeping track which way the town leans, and if this happens there will be no vote counts provided that day until after nightfall.
- [Protection] -- So much goddamn adrenaline the target can withstand far more abuse than normal. Will protect someone from a night kill attempt (unless it's from Shiki).
- [Ninja] -- Some weird device that will temporarily swap the location of two people. Don't ask how it works.
- [Death] -- An old bento box Hisui made; will kill someone outright.

Silenced characters can submit a vote in writing (read: via PM) to the game mod. If they actually try to talk that day, their throat explodes in a nice shower of gore and they're dead. She can target herself with protection or ninja abilities.

Walachia (vampire)

Dead Apostle #13. The former head of the Atlas Academy, and the great-great-great-great-great*N grandfather of Sion.

Utterly metrosexual.

In-game abilities:

Has the ability to absorb abilities of those who just recently died. Can choose to absorb one power from someone who died in the previous phase. Absorption power can not be used on consecutive phases. Only one ability can be used per phase, and they must be used in their appropriate phase (no taking night kills in the day). Absorbed powers can be stockpiled but only work once.

Shiki - nightkill
Arc - invinciblity, one phase
Akiha - extra vote
Ciel - nightkill
Hisui - nothing
Roa - nightkill
Kohaku - one unused concotion
Mech-Hisui - one 'check'
Vanillagers - jack squat

Mech-Hisui (android)

A creation of Kohaku's, originally deigned to protect (and replace, in that unfortunate circumstance) her sister, and as such has been equipped with 43634643 ways of killing someone (eye beams, flamethrowers, rockets, etc.), all of which randomly fail. Mech-Hisui is neither good nor evil, but since she follows Kohaku's commands...

Plays online role-playing games during its idle time (since it's a bot and all... okay, that was terrible).

In-game abilities:

Can 'check' one character per night to see if their role claim is as advertised. This comes back as a yes/no answer. Villager is a possible role-claim to be checked. Mech-Hisui gets these checks at the end of the game phase they were requested.

Default Re: Lunar Legend Tsukihime GAME THREAD

Game Flow and House Rules
Days will start at roughly 10 AM EDT.

Each player will have a single vote to determine who dies during the day.

Vote counts will be made available, but there are no scheduled times. They will be more frequent as we approach the deadline.

The day/night deadline is at 10 PM (roughly -- this may change depending on what other games running at this time have). People will then have thirty minutes after deadline to either use any possible powers or to contest the vote count.

Night actions are due by 9 AM EDT.

The village wins when all of the villains have been eliminated. The villains win when it becomes mathematically impossible for all of them to be eliminated (this does NOT mean just a simple voting majority).

Most of the standard POG rules for werewolf variants will be followed. Some notes:

-Votes must be made clear, using the phrase "vote <username>", in bold, on a seperate line. Bolded names in the middle of a sentence will not count. Votes in quotes will not count.
-Unvoting and revoting are both allowed.
-There is no restriction on role-claims.
-You are allowed one zero-content post after dying. Jopkes are fine, cats are fine too, but no actual content.
-Please do not talk about other currently running games in this thread, and do not talk about this game in other running games.
-All moderator decisions are final. If you still have a problem, take it up with me either privately or in the discussion thread (if available), NOT in the game thread.
-For night actions, the last valid action within the time limit will be accepted. For generic night kills, this will be the last target sent by ANY living baddie.

I can be also be reached on AIM at pretty much any time, username RottenSashimi. Wolfia, please invite me into chat once it opens every night.

REMEMBER TO SEND ALL NIGHT ACTIONS TO 'MARISA KIRISAME', NOT TO ME EITHER BY PM OR ON AIM! If your message isn't received due to a freakish full PM box or I miss it, toooooo bad. AIM messages WILL NOT COUNT.

o0. No problem.

Early strategy content:
Anyone roleclaiming stupidly will be shot. Read Mech-Hisui's description.

Ciel should roleclaim now (and announce all her kills in thread, assuming night kills stop her from killing the next night, not the night she announces the kill).

Also, GT1T
