Also, it's 8:45 and I'm still hung over. How is that even possible.

[/ QUOTE ]

Worst Hangover I ever had was my 24th b-day, started drinking at 4 in the afternoon, continued until about 3 in the morning. Had to get up and drive to Vegas the next morning....needless to say that didn't happen til the afternoon.

Got to vegas about 7 and just went to my room to take a nap ended up going out at like 1030, and was still hung over. Obviously at that point decided only cure was to drink it away.....

Ugh...

One of my family's dogs just died this afternoon. My dad was the only one home with her, and he's not very useful, so I don't know if it would have made a difference if someone more observant was home. My mom was saying that she didn't eat her last 3 meals, and was only eating one meal a day (she normally has two I guess) for the past week. I had just played chase the ball with her last week and she seemed fine. Still, so sudden...

The saddest thing for me was looking at her face. Her eyes were open, and that made me think that it was extra painful for her at the end. The vet says that it's normal for dogs to pass with their eyes open, so I dunno if that's just her making me feel better or whatever.

She was a German Shepherd mix that we got from the pound 12-13 years ago. She ruled, of course, and I'd like to think that she had a good life.

Anyway, I'm bummed.

Indeed, the death of a family pet is a sad sad event.

Just your post brings memories and a tear for my long passed friends to my mind

Think of it the opposite way.

Consider when we humans experience severe, continued pain, we forcibly screw our eyes tight shut, yes? we can't help it. other creatures do too...

eyes wide open = a swift, painless passing. or so I hope, this is the way my previous dogs passing away

Hope this may help,

dave.

Prediction: It will be months before you can play a 1 on 1 game and get even half as many kills as me/Shpanko.

In the unlikely event that anyone put some money on this, I'd take it from my side: I've played Halo 3 for literally 5 minutes, I turned it off almost immediately. I have never played a console game online.

You have to break yourself of that kind of thinking. Nobody EVER gets the girl they REALLY REALLY REALLY want because if you think they're that good, they think they're that good, and obv too good for you

[/ QUOTE ]
I understand the steps into your thinking until the last one. I also think I'm really really that good too.

Somebody said that true love is what happens when both parties think the other person is too good for them.
