Sanity check w/ TPTK in 3-betted pot
I'm running horrible ATM, so just want to make sure this is standard...
Villain is playing 18/14 and I have seen him 3-bet w/ 99 in a similar spot. But I dunno how he plays on flop after a 3-bet in general. I'm playing TAG and haven't been out of line. The reason I called pre is that "HYLYSY" is a huge donk and I have seen him call 3-bets w/ 43s OOP. Re: Sanity check w/ TPTK in 3-betted pot
4bet given read and the fact that it looks like a good spot for a squeeze. as played I would call on the flop and make a small bet on the turn when he checks or shove over his turn bet.

Re: Sanity check w/ TPTK in 3-betted pot
I like the call b/c of the huge fish... he was playing like 60/20 and I wanted him to stay in the pot and flop some random pair and stack of to me.

On the flop, if you just call you are giving away that a very wide part of your range is an Ace (unless he has seen you float before). He won't put any more money in unless he is (or gets) better than TPTK. Even if he has QQ or AQ, I don't think you can fold anyway considering he has only 300 more to bet and there was 330 in the pot with his flop bet (~2-1 stack odds). A raise, on the other hand, can easily be a semi-bluff or total bluff, making him call your raise with AJs or AT, or even KK. |
