Anyone who endorses/approves putting players in a tent to play tournament poker while leaving other conference rooms empty doesn't get any accolades or pats on the back for doing a great job from me.

I guess everyone's already forgotten about what a cluster**** the registration process at the beginning of the tournament was. Great job? More like a total disaster.

The WSOP is a mess - on several fronts. They aren't learning from their past experiences which is inexcusable for any business that has a heavy emphasis on providing services to high $$ clientele.

high $$$ clientel???? you're a poker player. casino make a rake off your play. if you are a high limit player, they get time, which is less. poker is not a "house" game. you will not get perks. you guys have got to realize this. and for jack, the tourneys are running as smooth as possible. every year everyone says "this is the worse year yet." next year will also be the worse year yet. you can not have anything this huge go off without a hitch. come on.

I have no reason to believe that Effel isn't up to the job. He is by no means the best touranment person out there, but I don't think anyone (outside of this thread) would pretend he is. I think you could hold the WSOP out in the test area and people would still come because it is the WSOP.

That is not true. We told all tourney staff at Tahoe how ridiculous it was that a group of friends signed up one after another and got sequential seating assignments, notified tourney staff immediately, and ended up sitting next to each other in groups of 3 and 2.

If that happened, then it was either because the tournament was sold out, and no one was willing to change seats, or the tournament had already started! If you did have problems, then I am very sorry that you had to go through that, and it was just a fluke, because I can assure you, we do try our best to accommodate everyone when possible!

Another thing, one reason you guys could have received the same table, maybe the Tournament was getting ready to start and they were only releasing 1 table at a time, so they would not have to do a re-draw! If you open up too many seats, and then don't sell all of them, you have to do a manual re-draw, which really sucks!

omg, I forgot about the HU championship and having to wait 2:30 hrs after I got there to play. Care to explain that abortion of a managerial decision princess?

also playing cash at the rio is like playing in a convention center. Why the normal poker room isnt being used for cash I have no idea. But it is pleasant to be in the big events and hear the floor calling people for a 4-8 limit game over and over.
