They need to beat Fiji first, 20-20 with less than a quarter of the game to go

fiji's cockup on SA's goal line was goodnight vienna for them. If they had gone 27-20 up they would have pwned. Shame, it would have been great if all 4 underdogs made the semis.

Pretty much, finished 37-20 now which isn't really representative of the game

Well, I guess I'm an idiot. The All Blacks are now officially the biggest chokers ever. I really though this was going to be their year.

And yeah it is SA's tournament to lose now, though the way things have been going, who knows.

I kept cheering on scotland and then remembered they never support us, so thought feck them.

Argentina/SA vs England/France. My money says France/SA, my heart longs for Argentina/England.

Wow, this has to be one of the classic NZ chokes. They totally dominated the game in every phase except defense. Their lineout, scrum, forwards, possession, just completely dominated France and it seemed they could have their way. Really bad luck with a man-down try and a forward pass, but it did seem like the NZ defense really came apart whenever the game got chaotic, and France just played really solid in defense.

You have to wonder how much is because they were never tested, their defense never had to face any pressure. They never really got the backs out running either which was a mistake in hindsight.

Interesting choice to have this 27 year old kid as the ref. He did okay but certainly there were some mistakes and that yellow card was borderline.

The yellow card was way worse than borderline. McCallister was turning away from the chaser to go after the ball himself, the French guy ran into him. No way it was a penalty, let alone a yellow card. Missing the forward pass by both the ref and touch judge was inexcusable too.

NZ should have still won the game, but if those two calls are correct, the All Blacks win period.
